Really Charles? Rant and Rave is good description for your foaming at the mouth while blowing it out your buttocks. Do refer to your female friends as “hoes and bitches” too? I’ve always thought you were a few bricks shy of a full load, but was saddened by Shaq’s inability to challenge your ignorance and excusing the use of the n-word as Ebonics. Ernie, you need to take Charles’ advice to Blake Griffin and “punch him [Charles] in the mouth” for disrespecting your perspective and courage as a white journalist. It’s the last thing a thug expects.

  2. Andrew Sullivan says:

Charles Brakley, you are the most racist person I know. “You white people” “white America”. What’s wrong with you. It doesn’t make someone racist is they use the N word. I’m white and I could care less what anyone calls me. We need to move past racist, its people like you keeping it alive.

      well said

    • Chris says:

Oh but it is white America…if you don’t see it or know it go learn about it…<–it has nothing to do with being racist…Charles Barkley nailed it and speaking the truth and the funny thing is that most people can't take it…

Couldn’t agree with you more about interaction between individuals, having spent 34 years in the military. Such verbal of harassment of a friend is a sign of deep friendship and trust and is normally reciprocated in kind. Unfortunately the outside world doesn’t understand this kind of camaraderie. And then there are those like Jonathan Martin that throw a friend under the bus to save their own cowardly ass.

  4. Edna McDaniel says:

Mr. Barkley, I have always admired you for your honesty, but in your rationale for Barnes’ comments to Blake you were not watching the same replays I did. Blake was not pushed–he locked up Ibaka’s arm under his and was pulling him around presumably to elicit a foul call from the ref. Ibaka basically jerked his arm free and Blake went for his Oscar. If you will refer back to one of the Thunder/Clipper games last year (not sure if it was the last one), Blake did the same thing to Collison who had five fouls and when Collison jerked his arm loose Blake went “flying”. Naturally, the ref saw the reaction and Collison fouled out.

Apparently, Barnes didn’t get the script for Blake’s performance and apparently, Blake doesn’t feel he can win play against the best players without subterfuge, This is the same as flopping–an effort to deceive the refs in order to gain an advantage. Go back and review the tapes of the games and be honest with what happened.

I am from OKC, and no one I know has a cow or chicken in the yard. I thought you got over that comment, but apparently you just could not help yourself tonight. May I also add that my Mother grew up in the Great Depression in Texas, and her Grandparents who raised her had chickens. Your “cute” remarks are insulting to me and to many people who have survived hardships that we cannot even imagine, especially you and the large income that you have had for so many years. You are not funny. You are tiresome. Please exercise some type of class or restrain yourself from idiotic and insulting remarks, or stay away from Oklahoma City. Btw, your “OKC is only a jump shooting team” was annoying when you first said this, but after many times, this is grating. I guess this is the only thing you can come up with to criticize the Thunder?

I would take 50 Chuck’s over one Phony. Chucks greatest gift is the ability to communicate his feelings to the American people un-filtered. I don’t always agree with him, but I respect his opinion.

  8. Omar says:

Charles always keeps it real. He says what people think, but don’t have the courage to say. All you (white) people who are getting butt hurt over his comments should remember that is his opinion and he has a right to it, just as you have right to disagree with it. You should also try to understand that Charles is coming from the black American perspective it might be what you want hear but thats how most black people feel.

    • Chris says:

Omg, you are so right! For the record, I’m not white nor am I black. I’ve always been a fan of Charles Barkley and appreciate his honesty. People, especially white people, act like they are so innocent when they are behind closed doors.
