Please get a twitter account! I’m sure there’s a lot of people, like me, who want to show you love for the person you are. I love and appreciate you for always speaking your mind and not apologizing! So refreshing!! So, if there’s no hope for you to get twitter, let me say I freakin love your “put blackness into Tiger” comment. You’re so damn funny! XOXOXO

RANT AND RAVE!!! you stole all of my words!!! well, not all…i am also VERY technology challenged, and 29 yrs old. i am from Alabama the Beautiful as well. As a matter of fact we met once, about 8 years ago??? read on for a possible memory trigger… i don’t “tweet”…who wants to know my every move or thought and am i so full of myself that i think i’m that interesting?? no! i do have facebook, but mainly for sharing things with distant family since i no longer live in alabama. i must admit that i do have a fb “alias” acct in the event i may want to talk with an old friend without them knowing everything about my personal life. sometimes its better than an awkward run in when visiting town, a way to avoid it, if you will. i now live in a town that i love and is very well known. its wonderful, aside from lack of “real people” and “true friends”. i don’t want to be judged by what i have, don’t have, where i live (actually lost a friend for moving to a nicer area….i thought we were great friends. don’t know what happened?) our “social status” may change as we grow, but i will always be me. i have met people living the big life who look down on you (they are broke, in debt, trying to keep up with the jones’) and i know multi-millionaires who are the kindest, most down to earth people you could EVER hope to meet. you’d never know they have money. they don’t feel the need to prove anything to anyone. i am a good person, that is how i want to be known. i’m still that same girl from alabama, always will be. my BEST vacation was last year. a week at my family lake house on lay lake with no tv, no cell service or internet, just an alarm clock radio and a rotary dial land line if we needed it, and for my granddaddy to check in on us and make sure we were okay. my kids (5&6) learned to make jewelry out of little weed flowers and danced in the rain. cozy fire, watching the moon dance on the water, sitting on the front porch swing watching the sunrise and mama ducks swimming with their babies. that is life. i want nothing from no one. people could spend tons of $ on me or give me millions. i would appreciate it, of course. but it would mean more if i were to get in my car and see that someone filled up my tank, or had a special picture framed, even better…if i woke up to a sweet note by my bed. now “sir charles”…people are always going to want something from you. that is just sad. i don’t follow celebrity gossip or any of that bull. we are all people and deserve privacy and respect. when i met you, you were out with some buddies on 280. i am the one who said if you are ever in town and want to get away from this madness (you were surrounded by so many people it was insane!) and just enjoy being home and with people who want nothing from you, lets go hiking. get outdoors and just enjoy being “home” without the buzz around you. all i ever hope to be is a good friend, especially to people who i feel need them and have been burned. i’ve been burned. everyone deserves true friends who want nothing more than friendship. i haven’t been hiking since then, but i talk about it all the time and tell people here how beautiful it is there and i never appreciated it until i got older and moved where i am now. everything is so flat. i learned that land is flatter when you are near a main river. i guess they didn’t teach that in alabama history. contact me if you will. i would love to tell you about where i am now. yes, i’m a stranger! lol, but thats not how we did things in alabama growing up. private golf course here, would love to play. i’m really bad. i know you follow golf, i may have a good tip on something for you (not on how to play). i am a real person with an open heart. what you see is what you get. i promise i’ll never ask you or anyone else for anything. if i want it, i’ll earn it. nothing in life is free, but living in a free country is all we need to succeed. hope to hear from you. i promise i’m not crazy…. war eagles honor! 🙂

Thank you Charles for outing the East Coast bias. Soooo true. Exhibit #1 – Oregon a 12 seed…Exhibit #2 – Cal a 12 seed…tell Kenny to get his NY buddies to stay up during the year, not just during March Madness!

  7. costin says:

I hear what you’re saying Charles. Anyone who needs to get a hold of you, or anyone who you need to get a hold of will never depend on facebook, myspace, or twitter for it.
