Looks like Hank Haney’s golf instruction finally paid off. Charles Barkley ended his last-place losing streak at the 2011 American Century Championship in Tahoe. After finishing at the bottom of the heap for five straight years, Barkley bettered his previous results by 25 points and came in third to last with a total score of -68. What was the secret to Chuck’s success? He played some holes with his eyes shut! “It takes a special athlete to hit a golf ball with his eyes closed,” Barkley noted. Chuck was paired up with his equally talented buddy Kevin Nealon in the first round, and as expected they put on a memorable show. Here are some highlights from the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course.
